MCS Group HR is thrilled to be exclusively representing an award-winning charity organisation based in Belfast, who wish to appoint a Deputy HR Manager on a permanent, full-time basis.
The charitable organisation has been established for close to 80 years, offering a range of services to enable people with disabilities, ensuring they get the most out of life and are included within their communities. The role of Deputy HR Manager will empower the organisations key stakeholders, ensuring they are well equipped to offer these life changing services to people with disabilities across Northern Ireland, supporting them in their personal and work lives, helping them engage in their community.
Reporting to the Head of HR, the Deputy HR Manager will be responsible for a small HR team, a role that will cover multiple sites across NI with an employee headcount in excess of 500, ultimately accountable for streamlining and maximising the efficiency of HR transactional services. Your core responsibilities will include talent management, employee engagement, performance management and payroll, as well as overseeing other general HR duties.
You will support the Head of HR in the development and delivery of People strategies, which are aligned to the organisations overall strategics aims. You will also contribute at an operations level to identify priority HR issues within the organisation, suggesting appropriate people strategies to support business aims, all while providing a customer service focus HR service.
The successful candidate will partner with key stakeholders throughout the business, providing expert advice and guidance on various people matters, ensuring they are well equipped to handle complex matters, such as absence management and performance management issues. Accurate HR data is also highly important to the organisation, producing and analysing key people metrics on a regular basis, such as sickness absence, ensuring line managers are aware of key trends in their division and more importantly, action them.
As well as day to day HR Generalist work, the Deputy HR Manager will focus on a number of key internal HR projects when required, therefore there will be a lot of the successful candidate to get involved in.
The Successful candidate
- Third level qualification in business-related discipline with at least 3 year's relevant generalist HR experience including R&S, L&D, Employee relations including absence & performance manage, employee engagement & contract management.
- A relevant RQF level 4 qualification and at least 5 year's relevant generalist HR experience including R&S, L&D, Employee relations including absence & performance manage, employee engagement & contract management.
- Experience of managing a small team
- Level 5 CIPD qualification
