A successful manufacturing company in the heart of Belfast, 75 years supplying their product to power, oil and gas, industrial sectors globally. Due to the continued success of their business they have a requirement for a Quality Manager to lead the established quality team.
Your new role
The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading the Quality team to improve both internal and external quality, as well as, drive the culture of quality and its importance to all teams. This leader is responsible for the design and achievement of goals with respect to quality of products, services and processes for the whole of their Belfast site. This person will liaise with external customers facing quality concerns with product and also collaborate closely with other departments, especially the new product development group, to ensure successful product launches; interface with suppliers to manage supplier quality.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally our client would like applicants to have a degree in an engineering or technical discipline, however this is not essential and we are happy to look at applicants with experience if no degree. 5 years experience within a quality engineer/manager role is what we would like to see, within a manufacturing sector. Certified ISO auditor preferred with a proven track record in a customer focused capacity. You will be able to deliver results and achieve metrics in accordance with FBS standards. Soft skills will include good communication and leadership skills and you will have a methodical and analytical approach.
