Hays are working in partnership with a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide to recruit for a Principle/Associate Civil Engineer. to become part of a team working on a variety of high-profile projects throughout the UK, RoI and beyond. The post will offer the successful applicant an interesting, challenging and varied workload as well as allowing them to develop personally and professionally as an Engineer.
Your new role
Reporting directly to a senior member of the team, you will: Undertake civil engineering design of project. Assist in the delivery of projects on time and to budget. Exercise a degree of autonomy in decision making to achieve the team's objectives. Comply with quality management and technical excellence systems and project procedures. Assist in the contract administration of projects. Undertake site visits and surveys. Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, consultants, statutory authorities and utility companies
Work as part of a larger team on major commissions across national teams

What you need to succeed You will have a degree in a related degree such as Civil Engineering. You will have the ability to focus on detail and accuracy when compiling and issuing data; Excellent communication skills; both verbally and written; Strong organisational and planning abilities; Willing to be flexible in order to meet project deadlines and achieve targets; Ability to form strong, positive working relationships with colleagues and external clients; You will be Enthusiastic, innovative, open-minded, and forward-looking; Hard working, self-motivated and eager to learn; Able to work to deadlines.
