The Terumo Group is a healthcare company with business divisions in hospital disposables, cardiac & vascular, and blood management. The Larne facility is part of the Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies (Terumo BCT) division, who are a global leader in blood component, therapeutic apheresis and cellular technologies. The Larne site has 40 years of experience in the manufacture of intravenous (IV) solutions marketed all over the world. The products span a broad range of therapy areas including traditional intravenous (IV) therapies used in fluid replacement, epidurals, heart surgeries, antibiotics, anticoagulants used in blood technologies, blood component storage solutions and perfusion therapy solutions.
We wish to recruit a skilled and motivated graduate to lead and deliver a project that will develop the next generation of a product packaging system designed for intravenous drug delivery systems for Terumo BCT.

The successful candidate must have:
- Hold at least a 2.1 Honours degree (or equivalent classification) in Mechanical, Process or Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Completion of a relevant research project.
- Demonstrable experience in Polymer Processing Technologies.
- Demonstrable experience in Materials analysis e.g. relevant thermal, spectroscopic methods, moisture and gas permeation studies.
- Demonstrable experience of materials selection in product design
