A County Down based civils sub-contractor who have multiple projects spanning the greater Belfast and County Down areas. This contractor is a family owned business who have steadily grown and now have a direct line of projects from large housing contractors to Northern Ireland Water schemes across the province. Seeking a Site Engineer who can set out and manage groundworks packages, this company will provide you with a market rate salary and a company van & fuel card. With all projects based locally and no U.K Travel required, this is an excellent opportunity to be based closer to home.
Your new role
Having just been awarded another new scheme in the Belfast area your role will be to ensure the site is running efficiently and to programme. You will be tasked with setting out duties involving groundworks, such as sewers, kerbing, drainage and utilities services. You will oversee the full groundworks package and be competent in working from a schedule of rates to price work accordingly. This scheme will see you based on a single site initially however could expand to further sites given the company's current workload and an increasing order book. As Site Engineer, you must be able to demonstrable project delivery and be confident in supervising subcontractors and being strong on setting out duties.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered successful, applicants must be willing to travel throughout Northern Ireland however your first site will likely be Belfast based. Our client is seeking to employ a qualified Site Engineer who is strong in setting out and capable of using a Totalstation and GPS equipment. Ideally you will have a background in Civils although significant building experience will also be considered. You will also be strong communicator and capable of completing work on time and to the highest quality.
