Hays Recruitment are working with one of the leading Civil Engineering contractors in Northern Ireland to resource a Site Agent on a fulltime and permanent basis. This main civils contractor has been successfully operating throughout the UK & Ireland for over 50 years. They have developed a strong reputation for successfully delivering large scale projects across both public and private sectors. Due to their continued success your new employer has been awarded multiple new heavy civils works including marine and piers works and thus now requires a Site Agent for upcoming projects.
Your new role
This role will see you fulfil a number of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to;
Managing the works in line with the programme whilst monitoring progress.
Organise, chair and minute regular meetings with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, designers.
Develop short term look ahead programmes in collaboration with the supply chain.
Produce weekly / monthly progress reports as required. Plan and manage site resources.
Ensure drawings, specifications and other contract documents are kept up to date.
Ensure setting out is correct and proper control measures in place to achieve same.
Be able to set out if required using the latest technology available.
Liaise with clients, designers, statutory authorities and other key stakeholders
Understand duties and responsibilities with regards to current Health and Safety/CDM legislation
Ensure Quality procedures, inspections and forms are implemented, including those associated with temporary works.
What you'll need to succeed
Due to the portfolio of work it is essential that you will have previous experience on civils projects, ideally with marine or piling works however any civils works will be considered. Previous experience at Site Engineer /Senior / Section / Site Agent level will be required. It is expectant that you are CSR registered and have previous experience working within a structured operational team. You should be an ambitious and enthusiastic individual who is well organised and holds strong communication skills
The successful candidate will be willing to travel and work throughout the UK.
