Your new company is a specialist M&E and integrated facilities management contractor based in Belfast, offering mechanical & electrical installation services ranging from maintenance works to building services refurbishments across the commercial and industrial sectors. Over the last 40+ years, they have successfully provided a full range of Mechanical, Electrical and Facilities Management services to clients, across both public and private sectors throughout Northern Ireland and now due to company expansion both in size & profile, the contractor are now seeking a SHEQ Manager to join their intimate Senior Management team.
Your new role
As a SHEQ Manager, you will have complete responsibility in delivering and maintaining a positive Health and Safety culture, managing the implementation of the Company's Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Policies and procedures.
You will be tasked with ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated alongside the development and regular review of SHEQ Policies, Risk Assessments and Method Statements for all operations and works carried out. You will regularly review & manage the company IMS system and the ongoing development and administration of ISO accreditations, carrying out site audits, inspections and conducting any accident investigations when necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
As a successful SHEQ Manager, you will have a previous track record working in a similar management role, preferably within a construction environment. You'll demonstrate a working knowledge of SHEQ standards & audit procedures with a sound understanding of IMS management and implementing integrated ISOs (14001, 45001 & 9001) throughout a live project. You will be professionally qualified to NEBOSH level with Tech IOSH membership desirable. As the role is at managerial level, you will be comfortable & confident working both independently and within the senior management team, overseeing all health & safety within the company.
