Hays are working in partnership with a local Public Body to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Infrastructure & Projects team based in Belfast. With around 3,800 employees across various locations throughout the province, this client is one of Northern Ireland's largest employers. Due to a strong order book throughout 2021 they now seek a Senior Quantity Surveyor
Your new role
This is a permanent position within their Contracts division based out of Belfast working within one of Belfast most prestigious and attractive Projects. In this role you will provide cost and contract management services to support construction project planning and delivery including preparation of tender documentation, cost / value management, contract management and performance measurement. In addition, you will support the Project Delivery function in developing and maintaining a best practice assurance framework for cost and contract management and to support the successful delivery of construction projects. Reporting to Commercial Manager (Construction Projects) you will work closely with Project Managers and external Cost Managers / Quantity Surveyors and Contractors.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the Senior Quantity Surveyor position you must have a degree in Quantity Surveying or other relevant construction related subject; Minimum of 3 years' experience in a construction contract environment and experience in construction contract management & administration. You will have knowledge in producing measurements and valuations of construction work alongside ideally MRICS
