Response Assets Officer required on a temporary basis by a large Housing Association based in Belfast

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large Housing Association based in Belfast, to recruit an Assets Officer on a temporary contract basis to oversee response maintenance.
Your new role
Working within the existing team you will be involved with overseeing the response maintenance of a patch of properties. Your main duties will include:
Action and monitor repair requests to enable 96% of all repairs to be completed within timescale;
Identify works required and issue works orders;
Implement and administer the requirements of measured term maintenance contracts and participate in joint procurement of those contracts;
Participate in appraisal of performance of contractors and take action to ensure excellent customer service; Undertake sampling of repair requests and action matters arising. Pick up repair trends and feed back to the Planned assets and Development teams to assist Design Guide and future planned works;
Ensure the effective administration of service contracts ensuring inventories, programmes of works and databases are up to date;
Carry out regular Stock condition surveys/ use of Keystone tablet.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you should satisfy the following essential criteria:
2 years' experience (within the last 7 years) within a Construction / facilities / maintenance environment AND a third level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant building/construction environment. Exceptional candidates who do not hold a third level qualification but have 5 years experience (within the last 7 years) within a construction/ facilities/maintenance environment will also be considered.
You should also possess the following skills / experience:
Experience of contract management including supervision of contracts;
Practical experience of delivering a front facing customer focused service;
Possess good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to negotiate;
Ability to organise and prioritise varied workload;
Ability to use initiative and work with limited supervision;
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel & Powerpoint;
Able to travel to carry out the requirements of the post.

Our payroll process is straightforward - you will be paid on a weekly basis by Hays via BACS transfer for hours worked and expenses submitted.
