Hays Recruitment are working with a well-established Belfast based timber frame house builder in their search for a Quantity Surveyor. Established for over 50 years this family owned company has delivered high spec homes across the province. Priding themselves on precision, attention to detail and innovation, this bespoke timber frame builder is a leader in the delivering high spec homes. Due to continued growth the company now requires a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join the business.
Your new role
Within your new role you will manage the cost of projects from inception to completion worth up to £500k. You will be responsible for providing Quantity Surveyor functions including estimating, bills of quantities, commercial transactions, commercial reporting and cash flow management on allocated projects. You will work within an integral part of the business, reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the Operational Team, ensuring projects are delivered on programme, within budget and to a high specification. You will be predominately office based in Belfast and required on site when required. This is a Northern Ireland based role, so no UK travel is required
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a degree educated Quantity Surveyor and must have at least 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a PQS practice, main contractor or house builder. Experience of working on housing projects would be beneficial but is not essential. You will be computer literate and will have experience of using relevant software. You will be ambitious, commercially astute, and keen to establish yourself as lead Quantity Surveyor with an established bespoke timber frame contractor who will be offering you a long-term progressive career.
