M&E Consultant Engineer required for a long term contract position with a large public sector organisation.

Our client is a large public sector body with an expansive portfolio of estate across Greater Belfast and County Down. This body has a dedicated property department that maintain this estate. The team is made up of Maintenance Managers from a range of technical backgrounds including Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management and M&E Building Services as well as direct labour staff who are responsible for the upkeep of the grounds and buildings.
Your new role
Our client have identified a temporary requirement for an engineer within their team, which is anticipated to last for an initial 3 months. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Officer you will work with a team of M&E Estates Officers who are responsible for the management of Planned mechanical and electrical works across the estate.
This division carries out planned and preventative maintenance, periodic reports, condition surveys and cost estimates for mechanical and electrical works. You will also be responsible for all tendered contracts and the supervision and inspection of carried out mechanical and electrical works. In addition, you will be required to design M&E works for inhouse projects and for tender along with the associated CAD drawings.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be a degree qualified Building Services Engineer with 2 years experience in an estates management role.
Come from a Plumbing, Heating or Electrical background and hold an HNC / HND or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
City & Guilds Advanced equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical services with over 5 years experience in an estates management role.
It is also essential that you are proficient in the use of Auto CAD.

Based in Ballymena, with free on-site car parking. All business mileage at 45p per mile.
Pay rate - £15.97 per hour. 36 hours, Monday - Friday. Plus, paid annual leave.
You will be paid weekly by BACS directly into your account.
