Maintenance Officer required by a Housing Association for an initial period of 6 months

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a Housing Association based in Belfast, to recruit a Maintenance Officer on a temporary basis for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
Your main duties will include:
Action and monitor repair requests to enable repairs to be completed within timescale;
Undertake pre and post inspections of properties;
Identify works required and issue works orders;
Participate in appraisal of performance of contractors and take action to ensure excellent customer service; Undertake sampling of repair requests and action matters arising;
Carry out void inspections and issue repairs required to ensure a quick turnaround of properties;
Assist in the delivery of planned projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you must possess:
Experience of building maintenance;
Experience of contract management including supervision of contracts;
Practical experience of delivering a front facing customer focused service;
Possess good written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to organise and prioritise varied workload to meet deadlines/targets;
Ability to use initiative and work with limited supervision;
Complete proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
