Housing Officer required on a temporary contract basis by a large Housing Association based in Belfast

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large Housing Association based in Belfast, to recruit a Housing Officer on a temporary contract basis. This position offers an immediate start and will run for an initial period of 2 months with the possibility of further extension.
Your new role
Reporting to the Housing Manager, you will ensure that an efficient, effective, customer orientated and comprehensive housing management service is provided to applicants and Housing Association tenants.
You will work across the following key areas:
Allocations and Void Management;
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you must possess:
5 GCSEs (grades A-C);
At least one years' recent experience in housing;
Working knowledge of Housing Selection Scheme;
Experience in using HMS for Allocations;
Computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office programmes including Word and Excel;
Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to relate to tenants.
Ideally you will have worked in the Social Housing sector with experience of:
Community engagement and Tenant Participation;
Anti-Social Behaviour management/resolution;
Rent collection and arrears management;
Welfare reform in Northern Ireland.

Whilst the initial contract is offered for a period of 2 months, there is the possibility of further extension. A competitive salary is available which will be paid via Hays on a weekly basis.
