Hays are working with a local Mechanical & Electrical Services contractor who have been in business for over 50 years. This firm have been providing their M&E expertise on installation and maintenance to a broad client base across the UK and Ireland. In recent years they have developed their Facilities Maintenance offering to complement their installation and aftercare on larger projects, this has allowed them to gain a strong reputation on reactive and planned maintenance and win new business.
Your new role
This is a permanent role based in Belfast where you will assistant the FM managers, working closely with the Electrical and Mechanical FM Contracts team including the help desk, site engineers, sub-contractors and Clients. This position offers great potential for the right candidate and will provide the opportunity to develop the role as the company continues to grow.
Data input from site records into IT systems
Requesting quotes from specialists
Compiling quotes for clients
Co-ordination of Sub-Contractors works
Reviewing incoming invoices and accounts to agree settlement/ payment
Compiling reports for the clients
Completing O&M manuals for the client
Preparing information for site meetings, and internal and external accounts meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have a 3rd qualification or trade in the construction, property or engineering sector.
You must be keen to learn with a good sense of time management and able to prioritise workload.
Some experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical services and CAD would be an advantage.
Full licence and access to own transport.
IT literate with good knowledge of excel.
What you'll get in return
On the job training will be provided which will include aspects of contract law training and regular attendance on site to work along with site engineers in order to gain experience and knowledge of all aspects of the FM and specialist works operation.
Salary is negotiable within the range of £20,000 - £27,000 depending on experience.
The role is full time with the hours of work being Monday to Thursday 8 am - 5pm & Friday 8am - 3.30 pm. You will be entitled to 30 days annual leave per annum.
