Estates Surveyor required by Translink on a contract basis until April 2020
Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by Translink to assist in recruiting an Estates Surveyor on a contract basis until April 2020. Working within the Property & Estates team based in their Milewater Service Centre, you will provide an efficient estate management and valuation service in respect of the NITHC and Translink (Group) land and property portfolio.
Translink have placed greater focus on commercialisation and making the groups land and property assets work harder to generate more income.
Your new role
Your role will involve regular contact with tenants, landlords, property professionals, legal professionals, the public, local interest groups, other public bodies.
Your main duties will include:
Negotiation and management of the sale, acquisition, lease and letting of land and property for the Group;
Act in relation to expired agreements, rent reviews, dilapidations, serving relevant notices, preparing reports and schedules, negotiating with tenants / landlords and seeking necessary approvals;
Prepare Land and Development Appraisals, Economic Appraisals, Insurance Valuations and Rental and Capital Valuations (in accordance to the RICS Red Book), or instruct consultants in respect of the same;
Assist in the preparation of Vesting Orders for compulsory acquisition of land or property and to negotiate subsequent compensation claims;
Manage and develop other commercial income streams and identify, investigate and secure new commercial opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must satisfy the following essential criteria:
Minimum of 3 years post qualification commercial property management or estates management experience; Experience of preparing RICS Red Book valuations (capital and rental);
RICS accredited degree in Property Valuation/Property Management;
Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS);
Experience of using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint);
Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
