A Belfast based Civil Engineering Contractor with a rich history of major projects and award-winning achievements across the UK and Ireland are currently hiring for a Construction Civils Planner.
Having been established as part of a wider group spanning many decades, this company is a stand-alone main contractor offering a wide variety of services including the construction and development of Roads, Rail, Marine, Water and even Utilities infrastructure.
A leader in their field and a sought-after organisation to work for, this is an exciting new role for an ambitious Planner. As the company's newest Planner, you will be heavily involved in various high valued civils schemes including major infrastructure works that will shape the future of Northern Ireland and beyond.
Your new role
Your role as Construction Planner will be to support the company by identifying, controlling and forecasting Timescales, Costings and Resourcing requirements whilst implementing best practice planning policies and procedures during the full life cycle of projects from tender through to completion.
You will be responsible for accurately identifying and resourcing requirements for projects including labour, plant and materials. You will provide support for all construction planning functions ensuring that issues or irregularities within the programme are highlighted and understood by all and making amendments where necessary.
Head office is based in Belfast however remote working will be available due to current circumstances. You will be using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 Software to build and amend programmes.
What you'll need to succeed
This is a permanent vacancy with a well-established main contractor who can offer you an exciting and highly rewarding career. Reporting into a Senior Management, you will have previous Planning experience and ideally completed several projects from inception to handover.
You will also be using Microsoft Project or Primavera software, so it is essential you have a strong understanding of the products and are capable of resourcing and costing jobs. Previous on the ground experience as an Engineer or other any other operational construction role will be viewed favourably however not essential.
