A large, long established UK Building and Civil Engineering Company is now recruiting for a Submissions Manager to join their Pre Construction Team in Belfast. At the forefront of the construction industry in NI for over 70 years, this contractor has successfully produced a number of multi-million pound projects across the UK and wider Europe. It has a turnover in excess of £250m with over 500 employees. Continuously striving to develop excellence in all aspects of building and civil engineering they have established themselves as one of the most highly regarded contractors in the industry. They now require a Submissions Manager to join their Bids Team (Building) in Belfast.
Your new role
Reporting to the Pre-construction Manager and in conjunction with the Bid Team Manager, the job role holder will be actively involved in formulating the bid submission strategy and leading the bid submission team; ensuring the bid submission elements are delivered on time, to the highest quality. They will be required to work with the Business Development team, Pre-construction Managers, Senior Delivery Managers and other members of the operational and pre-construction team to embrace a continuous improvement ethos; capturing feedback, lessons learnt and the application of innovative thinking.
What you'll need to succeed
Our client is seeking an experienced and professional individual who is educated to degree level in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with an understanding of all aspects of the construction process. However, candidates without this level of education may be considered if they have suitable and sufficient experience in a Bids environment with demonstrable capabilities which have led to the award of construction contracts. You will have at least five years' experience working in a similar role, and will have proven experience of relationship building in a construction environment as well as a track record of contributing to successful bids.
