GLL is looking for a Partnership Manager in Northern Ireland to lead the operation of our multi-site leisure estate in Belfast and grow and develop our Social Enterprise. With overall responsibility for the business and organisational performance of our leisure facilities in Belfast, you'll ensure financial success and achieve all specified targets across our 'Better' branded leisure centres, catering facilities and day spa.
Leading a team of 14 General Managers and 800 staff across 14 leisure centres, being a Partnership Manager is both demanding and rewarding. Working with Belfast City Council as part of their £105 million investment into leisure over ten years, you'll help open a major new leisure centre in Andersonstown in early 2020 along with further developments in 2021-2023, so your portfolio will be exciting and high-profile. You'll be the main contact for our client Belfast City Council and will nurture and grow the relationship, working together to provide excellent leisure services to the communities in and around the city, generating over 2 million visits per year and a diverse membership of over 26,000. A natural leader, you'll motivate and inspire your managers to achieve high levels of performance whilst championing GLL's values, culture, business objectives, policies and procedures.
You'll need a proven track record of working to, and achieving, KPIs and managing budgets. A genuine passion for making a real difference to communities and community spaces along with up-to-date knowledge of developments in leisure/leisure management, fitness and healthy lifestyles will be key. You will also have experience of effective leadership and management at a large venue(s) with multiple teams and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including our own senior managers as well as representatives from local authorities, community groups, plus other businesses and social enterprises.
In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
- Ride to work scheme
- Discounted membership at our leisure centres
- The opportunity to join the GLL Society and have a say in how we're run plus associated social events
- Career pathways
- Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best
If you feel you're the right person to help our business evolve, then apply now
Closing date: 27 January 2020 at noon.
All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications and location.
To be shortlisted for the role, internal applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to GLL by becoming a Society member where eligible.
