General Manager, The Girdwood Community Hub
GLL are partnering with Belfast City Council to transform the city's leisure services as part of the Council's £105 million investment in facilities across the city. By Spring 2020, we will be operating 15 Leisure Centres in Belfast, five of which will be new developments and there will be further developments in the coming years.
We are looking for individuals that can move the Belfast Partnership forward by contributing to our social enterprise ethos, our business strategy, develop their teams to deliver an outstanding service and make an active and healthy lifestyle accessible to all as part of Belfasts exciting Leisure Transformation Programme.

Applications are invited for a permanent General Manager for Girdwood Community Hub in Belfast. This role will involve leadership of a busy Community Hub in North Belfast comprising of a 4 court sports and community hall, 2 conference rooms, studio, cafe area, medium sized multipurpose space, 46 station fitness suite, health suite, spa, youth drop in space and a 3G pitch which can accommodate football, rugby and gaelic sports.
Within the centre there is also a Belfast Metropolitan Higher Education College comprising of 10 classrooms. Whilst the college programme their rooms and curriculum, as the General Manager, you will be required to facility manage this area.
The centre is a Peace and Reconciliation Project and offers a diverse range of activity programming from youth engagement at one end of the spectrum through to events and conferencing which is the centres main business stream. The General Manager role will focus on shaping a clear strategic framework to deliver our operational, financial and community targets - all whilst forging even stronger links with our business and community partners. You will also be working closely with our partner Belfast City Council and their Community Engagement Officers who work within the centre.
