MCS Group is delighted to be seeking a Temporary Finance Risk and Compliance Manager (Level 6) on behalf of a key client within the public sector. Immediate start. Role based in Belfast City Centre. Temp to perm potential for the successful candidate. Minimum 6 month contract.
Salary £28,000 to £35,000
Purpose of the role:
You will play a lead role in developing and delivering a best in class compliance and risk management service. A key aspect of the role will be working to foster and build a strong risk management, compliance and fraud risk awareness culture in Finance, Audit and Assurance Division. The post holder will also play a key role in the development and testing of key finance systems.
Consistently demonstrate a strong positive leadership role within the team, with a can do approach and be committed to building a strong risk management and compliance culture.
Support the Finance Systems Team as may be required from time to time in the testing of new systems, interface processing and systems administration management work.
Manage, supervise, support and develop the risk and compliance team.

Applicants must provide evidence by the closing date for application that they meet the following essential criteria:
Have a degree [or a qualification of an equivalent academic level] and have a minimum of 3 years relevant* experience. OR
B Tech Higher [or a qualification of an equivalent academic level] and have a minimum of 2 years relevant* experience. OR
Exceptionally candidates not having the above level of qualification but who have 3 years relevant* experience will also be considered.
5 GCSEs or equivalent including minimum Grade C in Mathematics and English
For the purposes of short listing, relevant* experience, for the number of years required above is defined as all of the following
Evidence of developing strong financial compliance, risk management and governance in a major public or private sector organisation
Strong and well developed Excel and Microsoft Office skills and experience of applying these skills in the workplace
Experience of managing, supervising and developing a staff to achieve team objectives.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other teams and independently adopting a consistently positive and proactive attitude.
A formal qualification in risk qualification.
