MCS Group are delighted to be working with a leading bank who are seeking to recruit Business Advisors for their successful business banking team on an initial 12 month FTC.
As Business Advisor the successful candidate will report to the Senior Business Manager and be responsible for delivering growth within different sectors throughout the branch locality, as well as managing a portfolio of customers offering a range of business products.
The successful candidates will take personal accountability for the service being delivered to companies customers through effective collaboration with colleagues, support units and other channels, ensuring commitments and promises are delivered upon.
You will be responsible for the development of valuable new customer relationships which will involve extensive networking and attendance at external events and developing/maintaining the Bank's relationship with intermediaries and business stakeholders.
You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with the companies Medium Growth customers and provide support, demonstrating a clear and in-depth understanding of the individual needs of both existing and prospective customers, working with them to find effective solutions to their personal or business requests, issues and problems.
Another role will be proactively developing and facilitating effective business relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, to raise the profile and enhance the performance of the brand within the local community and with key internal partners. You will also identify key internal and external customers and develop a clear understanding of their requirements to provide the appropriate advice, information or service offering.
Skills & Experience
Previous credit / lending experience essential including conducting thorough, compliant customer reviews, analysing lending proposals and submission of high quality credit applications
Ability to identify new opportunities and develop existing customers by engaging, building mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships.
Excellent customer services skills in relationship management, evidenced by the delivery of sales and service excellence
Strong negotiation, networking and influencing skills
Good knowledge of local marketplace and in key sector
working towards a Certificate in SME credit / Professional Banker (Desirable)
