MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Payroll Clerk for our public sector client based in East Belfast on a temporary, full time basis.
You will work a hybrid model of working from home and in the office whilst maintaining payroll duties for the organisation across 3 payrolls. This is a highly sought after organisation with premium grade work space with the ability to also work from home. It is an initial 6 month assignment with the likelihood of extension where you will receive a competitive salary.
Your New Role:
Check, query, calculate and accurately input data to ensure that the payees across three payrolls are accurately paid.
Respond promptly to email, telephone and face to face queries regarding pay related matters.
Ensure filing, retention and disposal of material is compliant with all relevant statutes and policies.
Liaise with third parties including HMRC and Midland HR.
Provide Senior Management with accurate pay data promptly, often at short notice.
Contribute to preparation and execution of annual and other Pay Awards to Secretariat staff and Members' support staff.
- The candidate must have at least 1 years' experience working in a computerised payroll environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team dynamic.
- Knowledge of accounting software.
- A BTEC Level 3 Award in Payroll Techniques or equivalent qualification would be desirable but not essential.
