MCS group are pleased to be recruiting for an Audit Assistant Manager on behalf of a renowned local business within their thriving accounts and audit team.
This leading accountancy practice is well known in the NI market, covering a range of accounting services for clients across the country. This firm offers a work environment that is both professional and flexible and whilst it is rare for this team to be in the office after 5.30pm, you will receive paid over-time during busy periods.
As the successful Audit Assistant Manager, you will be in charge of planning, organising, reviewing and controlling the completion of all aspects of the audit. This includes:
- Taking responsibility for delivery of high-quality audit work and the production of excellent working papers and summaries of information.
- Directing the audit team and providing on the job coaching.
- Engaging directly with clients, including attendance at audit planning and close meetings.
- Reviewing financial statements for compliance with accounting and legal requirements.
- Completing audit files; bring assignment to completion.
Accounts preparation experience is essential, whilst previous audit experience is ideal. You will receive comprehensive training where required. You will hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) and you will ideally be recently qualified. You will ideally be coming from a mixed accounts and audit background and have worked in a small or mid-tier practice, however, those coming from a Big 4 or Top 10 background will also be considered.
