The company has a key role to play in tackling climate change and as part of their plans to help facilitate decarbonisation and the Green Economic Recovery, they are seeking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their Financial Planning and Reporting Team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you'll play a key role in the financial management of, and reporting to, the business, including the production of statutory and regulatory accounts in line with IFRS and assistance with statutory, regulatory and interim audit processes, including liaison with external auditors. You'll assist with monthly management accounts including accounts analysis and reconciliations, maintenance and analysis of monthly cost models, as well as preparation of standard reports for individual business departments. Other areas will include providing support to Finance Business Partners in respect of business planning and month end reporting processes, assistance with forecasts, budgets and business planning and ad hoc project work.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll ideally be a qualified accountant but candidates who are part-qualified with at least 5 years' relevant experience may be considered. You'll have proven experience of preparing management and financial accounts and will have been involved in preparing for audits. You'll have excellent analytical and problem solving skills as well as excellent communication skills and be able to explain complex financial messages to non-finance colleagues. Experience in a regulated environment would be great, as would SAP knowledge, but isn't essential. It would be great if you've trained in a Big 4 firm or you're coming from a large industry company due to the size of the business.
