Your new company
We are currently working on behalf of our client based in Belfast to recruit a part-time bookkeeper on a temporary contract for an initial period of 3 months with a view to being made permanent.
Your new role
Working alongside a senior bookkeeper and reporting into the Financial Director you will have a range of duties including:
- Record all company spending and provide accurate information on company outgoings for the purposes of filing accounts;
- Maintaining the sales ledger long with credit control duties
- Balancing accounts on a day to day or week to week basis
- Working closely with the accountant to prepare VAT returns.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered you should possess previous experience in a bookkeeping capacity with proven experience of maintaining a purchase and sales ledger. You will have strong numerical skills and an ability to accurately produce accurate reports. You will have first hand experience using accounting software and will have strong Microsoft Excel skills. Preference will be given to candidates who are AAT/ATI trained or possess a similar qualification.

This role offers an immediate start with an excellent company based in Belfast with a low staff turnover. This is a part-time position 20-25 hours per week which will be spread over 4 or 5 days. Initially offered on a temporary contract basis the role allows the possibility of being made permanent for the right candidate.
