We are currently working on behalf of our client based in Belfast to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk on a temporary contract basis with a view to being made permanent.
Your new role
Working within the existing team you will be responsible for a range of duties to include:
- Review vendor invoices, record invoices according to company policy. Resolve any non-compliant invoices (for example NO PO, PO out-of-funds)
- Maintain accuracy in processing of AP transactions, including accounting coding, timely payments and reconciliations.
- Prepare weekly payments to vendors and employees (check, wire transfer and ACH payments)
- Review, verify and process employee expense reports to ensure they are in compliance with Company Policy
What you'll need to succeed
You should posses 2 plus years of accounts payable and general accounting experience in a fast-paced environment along with proven experience in driving problems to a resolution You should have strong interpersonal skills and will be enthusiastic and a quick learner with a positive approach
