MCS Group is delighted to be representing a multi-site charitable organisation, with sites spread across both NI and ROI, who wish to recruit a Employee Relations Specialist on a temporary basis, initially for 3-4 months.
Reporting to the HR director, the Employee Relations Lead will support Managers, providing expert advice and guidance on all HR policies and procedures and assisting with investigations, disciplinaries and appeals. The successful Employee Relations Specialist will have a strong background in resolving employee relations issues and they will have a strong knowledge of employee legislation (NI and ROI).
The Role
- Reporting to the HR Director
- Lead and deliver expert advice and guidance to Managers on all HR policies and procedures relating to employee disciplinary and grievance
- Provision of advice, guidance and support to Managers on all employment legislation, representing the organisation at tribunals and labour courts
- Design and implement the performance management framework
- Draft and implement employee performance policies and procedures eg disciplinary, grievance etc
- Provision of management information, including case management tracking, on all aspects of the employee performance management cycle
- Lead design and delivery of health & wellbeing, recognition and retention programmes
The successful candidate
- 3rd level qualification in a business-related discipline
- 3 years recent experience in advising line managers and senior management teams on complex employee contract related issues (both in NI and ROI)
- 3 years' experience advising on employee legislation across a range of topics
- Demonstrable experience of writing investigation reports and the use of MS Office
- Minimum of 1 years' experience of supporting managers to delivery effective performance management processes (objective setting, review, development and appraisal)
- 1 years' experience of design and delivery of staff engagement projects
