RecruitNI has finger right on pulse of today's jobs market

RecruitNI has evolved dramatically since it was founded in 1999.

"We now have regularly 3000+ jobs on site and have totally rebranded RecruitNI. We have built a brand new website with jobseekers' experience at the forefront of our design and will be enhancing it with additional features throughout 2016 ," Mr McMonagle said.

One important feature of the website is that a jobseeker can search and browse a variety of jobs on the same search page without having to click back and forth to previous pages. This makes it much more user-friendly for the jobseeker - as they can find and refine their search on the same page.

The site is also fully responsive, from desktop to tablet to mobile, as more and more people are accessing the site from handheld devices.

The site caters for roles across a multitude of sectors: retail, hospitality, office services, transport and distribution, engineering, production and manufacturing, sales and customer services, etc. It gives companies of all sizes exposure to a huge jobseeker pool at a cost effective price.

Mr McMonagle, who's been working in recruitment and advertising for 20 years, said: "We want to make finding vacancies quick and easy for our jobseekers, and also to provide for our recruitment advertisers a cost effective recruitment advertising solution."

And he said that RecruitNI "want to be more than just a jobs board and instead, position ourselves as a complete online recruitment solution.

"Gone are the days of putting up a job on a jobs board and hoping the audience will come.

"We have to be prepared to engage more with our jobseeker audience across all our other media platforms.

"Offering campaign management to clients is key, so that companies can enjoy coverage on both our social networks, additional display inventory and CV database searches, so that we at RecruitNI are making both the active and passive jobseekers aware that our clients are recruiting."

Companies can be offered the chance to purchase the CV database to help complement their advertising subscription, with some 28,000 CVs on the live register.

He added: "We want to totally understand our audience and foster better engagement with our jobseeker audience.

"Commercially, we want to drive new business across our key targeted sectors and make RecruitNI the preferred online recruitment solution for Northern Ireland recruiters."

Peter, who's originally from Londonderry, was formerly general manager at NIJobs.

He also worked with Henley Rickman Human Resources as business development manager and partner, before joining REE Ltd/Eirelita, a European recruitment business with offices in Dublin, Lithuania and Latvia.

Peter joined a radio station to drive growth for its online jobs platform, before starting as general manager of RecruitNI.

"Our ultimate aim is for it to be the most cost-effective online solution for Northern Ireland business.

"We want to engage more with the jobseeker to ensure greater brand loyalty, so that we're the go-to site for key industry sectors.

"Smaller companies might think that online advertising for staff is beyond them, but with RecruitNI you could advertise with us for three to four weeks for as little as £290."

And being part of the same family as the Belfast Telegraph is important in its plans for growth.

"Being part of the INM family will allow us to flourish as a brand, using all the digital expertise available to us.

"And we can extend our reach, leveraging our brand across the other websites in the INM portfolio, such as"

Peter studied history and politics at the University of Ulster in Coleraine, and has completed post-graduate courses in human resources and management studies.

He emphasises that RecruitNI is very much a Northern Ireland business.

"It's a Northern Ireland recruitment site for Northern Ireland people," he said.

"We pride ourselves on our strong account management. We might be in the online space, but we like to meet all of our advertisers and provide them with the best online recruitment solution for their business."
